Valley View Casino to Open Black&Blue Steakhouse & Lounge

                Valley View Casino recently announced the opening dates of its elegant new steakhouse.
                Valley View will open the doors to its Black&Blue steakhouse on June 1. Chef James
                Montejano, formerly of Cafe Japengo in La Jolla and restaurant manager Adam Saks,
                most recently from San Diego's Red Pearl Kitchen will oversee the grand opening.
            
            
                Black&Blue, "The Place for Steak," is a contemporary American steakhouse with Las
                Vegas flair and San Diego attitude, featuring Southern California's finest steaks
                and freshest seafood as well as an innovative wine list and creative cocktails.
                T he room has been designed with deep woods, rich granites and sensual style to
                transport every guest into a world of indulgence and taste. Along with prime cuts
                of filet mignon, New York strip and Porterhouse steaks, Black&Blue will also feature
                fresh salmon and halibut, unique appetizers and decadent homemade desserts as well
                as their signature Surf & Turf presentation with a casino twist-should a guest desire,
                they can choose to gamble for the price of their meal.
            
            
                The Black&Blue restaurant and lounge will be open seven days a week, with the lounge
                opening daily at 2 p.m. and the restaurant opening nightly at 4:30 p.m.
            
            
                In addition to working as the executive chef at La Jolla's renowned Café Japengo,
                Chef James Montejano has worked with some of the top restaurants in California including
                Aqua in San Francisco, Pacifica Del Mar, Pamplemousse Grill in Solana Beach and
                the Four Season Carlsbad. Restaurant manager Adam Saks has extensive hospitality
                management experience, working for companies such as Hyatt Hotels, Caesars Palace,
                Cohn Restaurant Group and Planet Hollywood.
