This Final EE has been prepared after consideration of all comments received from the public, local governments, and regulatory agencies on the January 2018 EE....

March 2012

Our original property opened on April 18, 2001. Since that time we have continually made improvements with our first major remodel completed in December 2007, resulting in the expansion of our property from approximately 43,000 sq. ft. to over 115,000 sq. ft. In December 2008, we completed a 7000 sq. ft. expansion of our non-smoking casino resulting in a full service non-smoking gaming option for our guests.....

An all-you-can-eat buffet advertising flap between a North County Indian gaming tribe and an East County one has ended with the lobster claw crushing the snow crab. The Viejas Band of Mission Indians in December agreed to stop advertising its all you-can-eat snow crab buffet using a "Pinch Yourself" campaign after the tribe that operates the Valley View Casino filed a federal lawsuit arguing the crab promotion was a direct rip-off of its all-you-can-eat lobster buffet campaign created years earlier............

Valley View Casino this week pinned down $35 million in bond financing for its new 108-room hotel under construction in Valley Center. The financing was the final piece needed to complete the $72 million project, of which 60 percent is being self-funded by the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians, the casino owners. The hotel is expected to open in 2011........

Valley View Casino, along with general contractor Swinerton Builders, recently celebrated the topping off of its hotel project, an important mile-stone in the construction of the casino's luxury boutique hotel scheduled to open in early 2011. "Topping off' is a term used by general contractors to indicate the last concrete pour of the top deck and represents a huge milestone in the project schedule......

Already well known for being Southern California's "Luckiest Casino" and the home to San Diego's best buffet, Certified Loose slots and the Colossal Coin jackpot, Valley View Casino can now make another claim to fame: its 2,000 slot machines will soon all be Las Vegas-style. All the rooms in the 12-story, $85 million building would be reserved as perks for the casino's biggest gamblers. Giving away hotel rooms to high rollers is an old idea, but experts couldn't think of another hotel that has taken it as far Valley View Casino is proposing....

Valley View Casino recently announced the opening dates of its elegant new steakhouse. Valley View will open the doors to its Black&Blue steakhouse on June 1. Chef James Montejano, formerly of Cafe Japengo in La Jolla and restaurant manager Adam Saks, most recently from San Diego's Red Pearl Kitchen will oversee the grand opening....

Valley View Casino opened the first phase of its all-new casino this morning and marked the event with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by casino development leaders. The ceremony also included the unveiling of original cast bronze sculptures "Three Generations" by artist Johnny Bear Contreras, a tribal member of the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians....

Valley View Casino opened its new 7,500 square feet non-smoking casino addition on March 2, 2007. The fully enclosed smoke-free space added an additional 350 new slot machines and a full bar. Valley View plans to add additional space as part of its $114 million expansion project that will more than double the size of the San Diego county casino, located in Valley Center, Calif....

The 1,200-space parking structure is part of a $114 million casino expansion that will include more gabling space, restaurants and other amenities. Officials said they expect to complete the expansion project by Oct. 2007....
